Weather Beacon is an environmental observatory that makes climate legible. Organized around the structure of an artificial tree, the installation senses outdoor temperature and translates changes into 4 variations of colored light. Nested in the branches are a series of birdhouses that transform the beacon into a shared habitat for both human and birds. The project renders atmospheric change perceptible while accommodating multispecies cohabitation within a shared climatic environment.
